The Deep Web is that part of the internet which doesn’t get indexed by major search engines such as Google or Bing. Most of this information is simply of no interest to anyone and includes things like databases or password-protected sites and content.
On the other hand, we have the Dark Web, which exists within the Deep Web and can only be accessed by using special software tools. These are sites with content unlike what you’d find on the so-called “clearnet” – the visible part of the internet.
It might surprise you to hear that most of the internet is deep rather than clear. The sites you visit every day are just the tip of an enormous iceberg. Hidden within the clearnet there are hidden services, arcane corners and a dark world of intrigue.
The most common way to access these hidden sites is by using a Tor browser and accessing them via an “onion” link. Search engines don’t generally find these, so you have to rely on sites to list them for you.
This site has one of the most comprehensive lists of deep web sites you’ll find on the clearnet, but you won’t find any actual onion links here. Why? Let’s explain.
Why Don’t We Post Onion Links?
There are a few reasons we decided not to post the actual onion links on our website. The first, the most practical reason is that these links are continuously shifting as some sites shut down or move to avoid being shut down. That means a working link posted today could stop working the next. Dark Web sites are much less reliable than clearnet ones.
The second reason is that simply posting these onion links can get you in trouble. We’d rather that our list remains up without explicit links than being taken down completely.
What we do provide is a list of the known Dark Web destinations as well as some information on what they are. If you know what a site is called then it’s not that hard to track the onion links down. We suggest you search darknet communities such as r/onions/ to find the latest working links for a given site. It’s almost impossible for anyone to keep Reddit quiet after all.
You can also make use of special dark web search engines, which we’ll list in the coming pages.
Use a VPN – Don’t Just Click on Onion Links!
Accessing the Tor network can get you in trouble if you aren’t careful. Even if you’re just curious about the Deep Web, you should still care about your privacy. Why let your ISP and the authorities even know that you’re using Tor?
Be smart. Get a good VPN to protect your privacy and keep hackers at bay when you venture out of the Clearnet’s bounds. We strongly recommend CyberGhost VPN for you, just because it is the top rated VPN that keep you anonymous while accessing Deep/Dark Web or anything you do online.
Even if you’re already using a VPN, don’t miss out on our VPN comparison where you’ll find some of the top choices from a privacy and security perspective.
Deep Web Search Engines
Remember how we just said that you can’t access the dark web by using normal search engines? Well, that doesn’t mean you can’t do it with a specialized deep web search engine.
Some of these “search engines” are really just indexes, but the ability to search the dark web is improving all the time. If you just want to know which search are the best ones in our opinion then you can consult our list of Best Deep Web Search Engines.
Here is a list of all the dark websites our research team has found that purport to help you navigate the depths of the dark web.
- Torch
- Ahmia
- Parazite
- notEvil
- Candle
- Deepsearch
- Complete Planet (engine/directory hybrid)

Money makes the world go round or so we heard in the famous Liza Minelli song. That includes the world of the deep web. Where money plays a central role.
One of the most popular financial services you’ll find on the deep web is the humble Bitcoin tumbler or mixer. These services help to hide where your coins have come from so that it’s much harder to trace purchases of darknet market goods back to you through the blockchain.
These services are often pretty illegal, but here they are.

Hosting Related – Deep Web Links
For there to be a deep web to explore, there have to be hidden sites hosted on servers. There are also have to be places for people to upload and host content such as pictures or audio files. So what to do when you want to host sites and content in the hidden depths. If you want to know the juicy details on how deep web hosting works, check out our article on deep web hosting.
If you’re looking for hosting services directly, here are the hosting services our research team have uncovered so far.

Anonymous Email Sender – Deep Web Links
Email is easy to take for granted. After all, it’s one of the oldest communication technologies on the web. We use email every day for just about everything. Most people probably send and receive more than a hundred messages a day.
The thing is, email was never designed to be private or hide your identity. While modern email (such as Gmail) uses encryption and is way more secure than the vanilla original implementation, it’s still far from actually private. If you want to send an email to someone without revealing your true identity, then a deep web email service might be just the ticket. These are the services we’ve discovered.
- Onion Mail
- Anon Mail
- TorBox
- SMS4TOR – Self-destructing messages
- NoteBin – Create encrypted self-destructing notes
Whistleblowing – Deep Web Links
The act of whistleblowing is to expose the wrongdoings of the powerful. It’s one of the noblest functions of the deep web now that clearnet media and mass media, in general, seem easier to manipulate than ever.
Whistleblowing sites allow those who know the sordid truth about public figures and organizations to get the word out. Often it’s downright dangerous for their identities to come out, so organizations like WikiLeaks help to protect their sources. For more info check out our article on how dark web whistleblowers work. The sites below are whistleblowing deep web destinations that we’re aware of.
- Wikileaks – their deep web location
- Illuminati
- Indymedia
- Strategic Intelligence Network
Black Market Links
A “black” market is one that operates in secret and avoids the gaze of the authorities. In other words, if you want to buy something Big Brother doesn’t want you to then here’s where you need to go.
Of course, if you’re ever caught it’s potentially a lot of trouble. Beyond that, plenty of scammers operate on these black markets and anyone who actually tries to buy anything here does so very much at their own risk!

Blogs
These days almost all “journalism” is some form of blogging. The deep web has its share of blogging publications too and behind the veil of true anonymity, they can have some truly shocking and fascinating things to say.
Or, it’s just some funny or banal stuff that does nothing more than kill time. Either way, exploring the deep web blogosphere is a lot of fun.

Political
Who actually likes politics? Well, love it or hate it there’s no way to get away from politics in the world today. The deep web is incredibly politically active and if you want to find political thinking that’s out of the box and not part of the mainstream this is a great place to get it.
Political movements from around the world can spread the word and operate freely on the deep web. Some political activities are done here because the interlocutors live under the boot of oppressive regimes. At the very least the world of politics on the deep web is extremely interesting and, at the time, world-changing.
Here are some of the political sites we’ve found on the deep web.
- Courage Snowden
- Bugged Planet
- Fairie Underground
- Kavkaz Center
- The New Yorker Strongbox
- The Intel Exchange Forum
- Wiki Leaks
Hacking
Hackers are people who use their expert knowledge of computer and internet security to break into places others simply can’t. It can take years for someone to become good enough to pull off the sorts of things that hackers are known for.
Luckily there plenty of hackers ply their trade on the deep web and if you have the crypto for it then you too can get the services of a hacker.
Of course, it’s not like you can check their credentials or anything. As always, watch out for scams and don’t assume the person has the skills they say they do.
Here are some of the “hire a hacker” deep web sites our research team has come across.
- Besamafia
- Rent-a-Hacker
- SALT
- Itanimulli
- Delta Initiative
Warez, Virus, Hacks and Cracks
Sometimes people don’t want a live hacker, they want the product of a hacker. “Warez” are pieces of software that have their copy protection broken or have been further modified in some way.
Computer viruses are malicious software programs that can cause all sorts of havoc on an individual computer or spread across networks via email.
Hacks are shared information about software vulnerabilities that haven’t been patched out yet. Cracks are pre-made software modifications that can be used to break the copy protection on copied original software.
On deep web markets, you can buy just about every example of these four hacker artifacts imaginable. Here is some site we’ve discovered.
- The Nowhere Server
- DOXBIN
- The Pirate Bay
- Tor Library
- Pony at Noisebridge
- Imperial Library of Trantor
- Jotunbane’s Reading Club
Deep Web Drugs Markets
If there’s one thing common to all humans it’s that we like to alter our state of consciousness. Everyone does it. Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a cigarette or the endorphin high from going to the gym. Our governments have decided (often arbitrarily) which drugs are OK and which aren’t, but the demand for unapproved narcotics just never lets up. There are signs that the war on drugs in the USA and other parts of the world may be winding down. But, while cannabis might be getting more legal the majority of substances are still no good in the eyes of Big Brother.
Which is why the deep web has stepped up in a big way to make the process of buying drugs for personal use easier and safer. Almost perfected by the now-defunct Silk Road, these darknet markets are getting people the high they crave. There are many such sites, but these are the ones we’ve found in our exploration of the deep web.
- Brainmagic – Biggest .onion psychedelics store – order LSD for Bitcoins online
- Colombiaconnection | The only Real Colombia Cocaine Provider in TOR
- Canabis King Online
- Cannabis Road
- CannabisUK
- DarkDrugs by DarkDealer

Hitman for Hire Sites
A “hitman” is a contract killer. If there’s someone you need to make disappear, you just tell them who and then pay the (gigantic) fee. That’s pretty simple, right?
There are quite a few sites on the deep web that offer this sort of service, but the first thing you should know is that none of these have ever proven to be anything other than a scam or hoax. We take an in-depth look at the deep web hitman myth in one of our articles, but if you are curious to see such sites for yourself, here are the names we’ve discovered.
- Unfriendlysolution
- Hitmen for Hire
- Hitman Network
- Quick Solution
- Torminator
Deep Web Escrow Markets
One of the things people are most concerned about is getting scammed when buying things through darknet markets. This is bad both for legitimate vendors and customers.
So many markets are now also providing an escrow service. This means that the client pays the money to the market itself as a third party. The market confirms to the seller that they have the funds. Then when the customer receives the product the funds are released.
Although there are still risks (such as the market shutting down overnight) it’s a much safer way to buy than dealing directly. Here are the markets we’ve found that offer an escrow service.
- BigEscrow
- Safe Pay BTC
- UmbrellaEscrow
- McWayEscrow
Games, Torrents, Movies and Music Deep Web Links
While these are also technically”warez”, most people don’t lump games and media along with cracked business software and operating systems.
The dark web is a treasure trove of pirated content. Much of this content is downloaded by users who can’t access it in their home countries thanks to severe censorship. Whatever your reason for wanting to step out of the copyright regime, these deep web sites exist to facilitate that goal.
- Demonoid.ph
- The Pirates Bay
- Zmovie
- Solarmovie
- Apophenia
- PHDCasino
- Deep Web Games Stop
- Ghost Books
Music Radio Deep Web Links
Honestly, if you don’t like a good tune then you might as well be in the grave. Who doesn’t like music? Boring people, that’s who. The people who live on the deep web are anything but boring, so they also have some great tunes.
- Deep Web Radio
- DeepTune
- GNUMP3d
- Radio Jobiwan
- AnonUK Radio Network
Weapons
In the USA they have the Second Amendment which provides the “right to bear arms”. Depending on where you live in the world the government might be less eager to put firearms or other weapons in the hands of the common people.
Regardless, the deep web has plenty of sites where you can buy guns and other devices aimed at self-defense. There are plenty of scammers though and the penalties for owning illegal weapons can be truly severe. Still, as they say: “live by the sword, die by the sword”.
These are the weapon-trading deep web sites that we’ve found in our explorations.
- BMG (Black Market Guns): Trusted source for worldwide GUN shipment
- EuroGun
- BlackGhost
- TheArmory
Gadgets and Tech Links
It shouldn’t be surprising that the majority of people who frequently use the deep web are tech-savvy or at the very least very interested in technology. With such an audience there have been quite a few sites that have started technology-related content.
You don’t just get to read about gadgets and gizmos, you can learn to make all sorts of things or even buy modified electronics and other devices.
- Atlas
- Appleworld
The Deep Web is a Risky Playground
As you can see there’s a lot of stuff out there on the Deep Web. More than we will probably ever know. It’s exciting to discover a secret world that lurks just under the surface of the one we all know, but don’t go jumping in blind. Make sure to use the best VPN for the job and stay safe!
